'It took four recording sessions with LT & myself in the studio with Chris Lau to do the entire project, Chris & Milton Lau did the rest'.

Sweet Wahine is an extended version of Don's Bikini Slack Key composition found on the 'Don "Freehand" Kauli'a' CD year 2000 project. The lyrics were added to honor the Vaquero (Mexican Cowboys) in a latin format with a twist of poetic literature using the shape of the guitar as the Wahine (Hawaiian word for 'lady'). The front CD cover shows graphic artistry of Che with a model (Nicole) standing on the sand. The CD's back cover shows the 'Taylor' nylon string guitar ... dedicated to the proprietor Bob Taylor.

"All of my compositions are created and inspired through my wife Wendy Fitzsimmons. Like her hula and all that she has accomplished, Wendy is the 'Sweet Wahine'."
